Licensing

The highly experienced, specialist licensing solicitors at Woodfords assist a wide variety of individuals and organisations with their licensing requirements throughout Fulham, Chelsea, Putney and Hammersmith and beyond. We advise on:

  • shops
  • restaurants/takeaways
  • off-licences
  • public houses/late bars
  • temporary events

Applying for a licence

We can offer assistance in the granting, renewal, extension or variation of licences for the selling of alcohol, or after-hours food and drink, or for provision of gambling or entertainment services.

With the overhaul in the application procedure in the early 2000s and the ever-changing nature of this politically sensitive area, it’s vital to make sure correct and current procedures are followed.

Our expertise in this area means we are ideally placed to offer you the guidance and representation you need to achieve your desired outcome.

We can also assist you with:

  • variations and transfers of existing premises licences
  • applications for personal licences
  • applications to change the nominated designated premises supervisor
  • temporary event notices
  • extension of licensed hours for special occasions
  • appeals of previous decisions adversely affecting licence conditions

Defending a review application

If you have been served with a review notice because a local resident or business has complained about issues such as noise disturbance or nuisance, then you need to contact us as soon as possible for advice regarding how to respond.

What it will cost

We are happy to have an initial discussion over the phone regarding international matters free of charge. After that we will charge a consultation fee if a meeting is required. During this we will endeavour to provide a fixed price quotation for our services and clear guidance on any further costs. The consultation fee will usually be deducted from the overall legal costs.
